How the CUES Clinic Works
A streamlined urgent pathway — from your call to a clinical decision and treatment or referral, all on the same day where possible.
Ring the practice. We will ask a few questions about your symptoms to assess urgency and advise whether to come in, book online, or go straight to A&E.
We aim to see urgent cases the same day. We reserve time in our schedule for exactly this — no need for a GP referral.
Your optometrist examines the eye using a slit lamp and any additional equipment needed. They take a full history of your symptoms and relevant medical background.
Where we can treat the condition in practice — for example prescribing eye drops or removing a foreign body — we will do so immediately.
If your condition requires hospital investigation or treatment, we will arrange an urgent referral with a clinical letter. You will not be left to navigate it alone.
